Welcome in the Name of Jesus Christ!

Founded in 1872, St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Confessional, Liturgical Lutheran church nestled along the banks of the Platte River in the small village of Farley Missouri.  Located on the western edge of the Kansas City Metro area St. John's is a convenient leisurely drive along the picturesque Platte River bluffs from Parkville, Platte City and Leavenworth.

Each Sunday Rev. Gregg Reiser officiates the Divine Service and leads the adult bible study class. Pastor Reiser has been the senior pastor of St. John's since 2001.

Our Parish is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. As such we hold to the belief that the Holy Scriptures are the inspired and inerrant Word of God – the Rule and Norm for the Christian faith, and the only True Foundation for a proper relationship with the Living God through life and merit of His Son, Jesus Christ – the only Savior of the fallen sinners, and the only Hope for mankind. We also hold the Book of Concord of 1580 to be a true exposition of God's Word, and the standard against which all the teachings of our Church are to be measured. If you have any questions about specific areas, please drop Pastor Reiser a note by clicking on the e-mail link on the right of this page.

If you would like to know more about what we believe, teach and confess, you can find more detailed information in the links above marked "Beliefs." Between that link, the Affiliate links to the right, the Links tab above and the Book of Concord website you should be able to find out just about anything you'd like to know about us.
